Repair and Decorative Works. Creative Approach by NOVY ZODCHY
Creativity dislikes routine repetitions. Creative individuals seek to express their individuality in unique, singular works: music, painting, poetry, projects... True architects do not embrace typical projects, and creative designers avoid repeating interior solutions.
Comparing the nature of creativity between architects and designers, colleagues in the field, it seems that an architect is the author of the external form, while a designer is the creator of internal content. The happiness of people living in the internal space of their own comfort—apartment or country house—largely depends on the professionalism of designers and the qualifications of the experts implementing their ideas.
The universal group of construction companies "NOVY ZODCHY" started its activities in April 2004 and was initially represented by a small administrative and engineering staff and teams specializing in various types of repair and decorative works.
Initially, the group's management decided that diversification and complexity would be the key principles of strategic development, as having several points of support is desirable for greater stability in an uncertain environment—on a competitive and extremely volatile construction market. It is well known that offering a wide range of works and services is essential.
Our list was outlined quite broadly—from designing a project to its turnkey implementation. The assortment included: design project development, plastering and painting works, cement-sand screed, tile laying, making and installing gypsum board products, decorative finishing, installation of internal engineering networks. Initially, we could not do without the help of partner companies, but we always assumed the status and responsibilities of the general contractor and never lost sight of our strategic focus.
Later on, as the strategy determines the structure, our own specialized departments were formed and equipped:
- Design Department;
- Repair and Decorative Works Department;
- Heating Department;
- Water Supply and Sewage Department;
- Electrical Works Department;
- Ventilation and Air Conditioning Department;
- Structured Cabling Systems (SCS) Department.
Our efforts to achieve harmony between efforts and results have been positively evaluated by both local and international clients: "ARENA CITY," "FIFTH ELEMENT," "NDIPROEKTREKONSTRUKTSIYA," "INKOM," "SCHERING AG," "AWT BAVARIA," "ADIDAS," "COCA-COLA BEVERIDGE UKRAINE LIMITED," and others.
Starting from 2006, appreciating the positive dynamics of the banking services market, we made several attempts to enter this segment and succeeded. We gained valuable experience in providing general contracting services, complex, operational, and high-quality work execution. Clients—bank representatives—set high but justified and motivating requirements, being solvent and punctually fulfilling their obligations.
It is known that "experience is the son of difficult mistakes," and for this, we are especially grateful to the management of banks. Thanks to their high demands, our team overcame the thorny path of improvement with banks like "UKREKSIMBANK," "PRIVATBANK," "UKRSOCBANK," "VTB BANK," "ALFA-BANK," and "BAZIS."
Starting from 2015, we are accredited to participate in the program of creating modern conditions in the migration sphere to serve citizens of Ukraine and foreigners. The competence and status of the universal group of companies "Novу Zodchу," which structurally combines the functions and responsibilities of the general contractor, designer, and the main executor of works of the national network "Passport Service," are confirmed on each object—twenty office centers were put into operation in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv, Uzhgorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Ternopil within three years. Developing competitive advantages, a project is developed and a full range of repair and finishing works is performed for a complex, modern communication-rich, and premium-class classified object within 30 calendar days. We strive, first of all, to justify the client's trust.
Residential complexes—elite new buildings in the capital—hold special significance for the development of the Novу Zodchу group of companies. The embodiment of the healthy ambitions of developers, sophistication of architectural forms and design solutions, concentration of modern technologies and materials—all this imposes increased requirements on the professionalism of the contracting organization, primarily in terms of management, quality, and timing of works.

A few words in conclusion. Our experience laid out in the article, I believe, deserves attention and may be useful to someone. As the author of the article and the head of the group of companies that performs not only general construction
repair and finishing works, I believe that the idea of the dominance of construction companies that build building frameworks, lay brickwork, and arrange facades in relation to contractors who perform finishing works is erroneous. Perhaps, due to consistency and visual perception: first, the frame is erected, and it is available for inspection, finishing works are done later and are limited in accessibility. However, both in significance and in economic indicators, finishing works are not inferior to general construction, and professional performers of these types of work deserve respect and can find a worthy place in the competitive market.
